Lenten Haddock Suppers
Lenten Haddock Suppers
Council: 13861 - SANFORD
Project Description:
The St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Council organized a Haddock Supper every Friday (except Good Friday) during the season of Lent. Baked Haddock, mashed potatoes, peas, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, bread, coffee, lemonade and assorted desserts are served.
This was a Parish-wide effort that involved St. Thomas Knights and volunteers – including members of the St. Therese of Lisieux Parish Youth Ministry. Various parishioners also made assorted desserts. They all pitched in to prepare the food, serve the patrons, bus tables and clean up.
A total of $4,550 was raised from the Lenten Haddock Suppers, which was split between the St. Thomas Council and St. Therese of Lisieux Parish. The St. Thomas Council and St. Therese of Lisieux Parish each received $2,275.
