Lenten Mission RETREAT with Outside Speaker. 15791

Project Description:

Thirty Six Council Brothers and wives, along with Parish parishoners participated in a three day and evening Lenten Retreat at Holy Martyr’s Church and Hall and Sacred Heart Church and Hall, on March 9-11, 2020. The Main Topic presented was “Learning to Forgive and Get On with Your Life”. This program was conducted by Fr. Frank Desiderio. He travels as a representative of Paulist Fathres, conducting religious programs, and raising funds for the retired priests in his community. This retreat was attended by the young and old of our Parish. As part of the evenings a 5:30 PM Mass was celebrated by our Parish Priests, and several council Brothers. Following the Mass a meal of Black Bean Soup, Pasta ,Salad, and Bread was made and served by the Knights, and a couple of the Office Staff. Following the meals the Mission Speaker presented a three part program on “Can You Let Go of a Grudge, Learning to Forgive and Get On with Your Life”. This Retreat was held at Sacred Heart Church at 8:15 AM and Holy Martyr’s Church at 5:30 PM. All enjoyed this Retreat very much, and our council had a very good representation for this Program.
