Council: 101 - PORTLAND

Project Description:

Two council brothers participated in the Catholic Men’s Retreat which was held at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland on Saturday October 13, 2018. The topic of the 2018 Men’s Retreat was “Strengthened with power through His Spirit” (Ephesians 3:16), and it featured dynamic speakers both from Maine and outside of Maine. The morning began with opening prayers, and opening remarks. There were three featured speakers which included Deacon Harold Burke-Silvers, Dr. Bill Martel and Father Nathan March. Following the morning presentations a box lunch was served and reconciliation was offered. At the conclusion of the afternoon presentations, there was time for questions and answer’s, followed by adoration at the conclusion of the retreat. Fr. March lead the adoration. Once this was concluded, a closing Mass was celebrated by Bishop Deeley. All present enjoyed the Faith filled day of Prayer, and the three speakers.
