Walk for Life On Saturday, September 22 the Culture of Life Committee of the council sponsored a Walk for Life in Biddeford. Seventeen walkers walked, over 50 individuals and companies donated money or gift cards to benefit Alpha Pregnancy Center in Sanford, and we took in just over $1,850 in donations. It was a fine day for a walk and our mood matched the weather. The Walk for Life is by its nature a celebration, not a protest. Brother Don Maurice chairs the committee and has done a fine job of promoting our council activities supporting human life from conception to natural death. Congratulations and thanks, Don, for your efforts. Parishioner Pat Frechette also deserves special recognition and thanks for the energy she puts into this and all the causes she champions. We intend to walk again next year and continue to build on what these good hearted people have begun. Please support the council’s Culture of Life initiatives and walk with us in September 2019.
