Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH

Project Description:

Seven Council Members, their wives and family members attended a Memorial Service for Fallen Brother Robin Clancy. The service was held at Saint Gregory’s Church on Monday February 18, 2019. Saying goodbye to a fellow brother knight is very difficult. Brother Clancy joined our Order and Council some three years ago. During his time with us he was very limited to his activity because of his health. From time to time he would fill in as one of our collectors at the 4 PM Mass. One thing that I will always remember about Brother Clancy is his devotion to the LORD and his family. When it came to his Faith and the Bible Brother Clancy was a wealth of knowledge, when it came to the Scripture’s. He would never come to Church without his book of prayers. Brother Clancy and his wife were most always in attendance at the 4 PM Mass on Saturday, and always sat in the same row. Another thing that was special about this Family is they were always early to arrive at church so they could go to Confession, then participate in the weekly Rosary to our Mother Mary. Brother Clancy and his Family will always have a special place in our hearts for many years to come. As part of the Memorial Service Brother Clancy’s children, and grandchildren spoke about their times with Brother Clancy, and how much each of them will miss him. I have learned one thing from this service today and that is this family is a very close knit family with a powerful love of one another and the LORD. Being Brother Clancy’s sponsor I will miss him deeply, especially at the 4 PM Mass. Following the memorial Service a fellowship reception was held in the church hall with plenty of food, some prayers, and fellowship. May his Soul now rest in eternal peace.
