Project Description:

The Limerock, Council 136, Rockland, ME Knights held our monthly K of C Parish Breakfast, preparing a delicious hot breakfast meal for about 81 hungry parishioners and guests after our 8 AM Mass, raising $462.00 for our parish’s Caring Fund WindowDressers Project.

WindowDressers is a volunteer-based organization that builds insulating window inserts made of custom-made pine frames wrapped in two layers of tightly-sealed, clear polyolefin film and finished with a compressible foam gasket, which are installed inside of existing windows with no fasteners required.

The WindowDressers’ goals from the beginning have been to provide inserts to Mainers who cannot afford them, reduce fuel bills, reduce carbon footprint by reducing the use of fuel, and build community by having neighbors join together to help make inserts for neighbors.
