Mother Seton House Baby Bottle Drive Fundraiser
Mother Seton House Baby Bottle Drive Fundraiser
Council: 10221 - GORHAM
Project Description:
Mother Seton House of Fryberg, Maine is a non-profit home for pregnant women in difficult circumstances whose goal is to provide education, counseling, referrals, and physical, emotional and spiritual support in a caring community. The Knights of Columbus Council 10221 of St. Anne’s Church in Gorham, Maine support the Mother Seton House each year between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. We do this by handing out baby bottles to parishioners starting on Mother’s Day for them to put in their loose change or write a check to help raise money for the Mother Seton House. We ask them to bring them back to us on Father’s Day.
In 2018 we handed out 100 of these baby bottles to our parishioners who graciously returned almost $1800 to benefit the Mother Seton House of Fryberg.
Fellow Knights Jim Welch, Bruce Fitzpatrick, and Andy Levesque helped at all three Masses held on Sunday May 13 to pass out these bottles at the end of the Masses. Special thanks goes to Theresa Ledue, St. Anne’s office manager for help in collecting the bottles as they were returned and storing them in the office until someone from Mother Seton House came to pick them up.
