National POW/MIA Recognition Rosary Service. 15791

Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH

Project Description:

Council Brothers, and Family members participated in a joint Rosary Session for all POW/MIA service men and women in our homes via Zoom on Friday evening 16 September 2022. One of our Past Deputy Grand Knights brought the idea up at a recent officers meeting to join the many on 16 September 2022 in reciting the Rosary of Mary for all deceased or captured POW/MIA, during and since World War II. Some 80,000 soldiers, sailors, airman and marines have been designated as POW/MIA. This evening our Past Deputy Grand Knight set-up and focused on the Sorrowful Mysteries, and one council officer was asked to start the evening off with a reading from “Mother Teresa”. Each decade was read by a different council member in attendance, and also one of our Parish members who we are working on recruiting into our council and order. It was a very blessed evening with some socializing prior to the readings. With the good Lords help we had a successful event. We talked last evening about having one of these sessions each month on a different topic.
