Offertory Collection and Attendance Taking at Masses

Project Description:

Knights from Westbrook Council 2219 take responsibility for the offertory at each Sunday Mass and also take responsibility for counting the adults attending the Sunday Masses and report the attendance to the St. Anthony’s Finance Council which tracks and analyzes attendance. At each Sunday Mass, the Knights obtain the collection baskets, walk around the parish with the collection baskets, obtain the parishioner offertory and empty the offertory baskets into the secure bank bag, seal the bag and deliver the bag in the offertory bowl to the individuals who are brining the gifts to the officiant. Having the Knights in charge of these responsibilities enables a consistent and secure method of offertory collection and an accurate attendance count.
