Project Description:

Five members of our council have participated at some time or another during the course of 2020 in parish events committee meetings for Our Lady of Hope (OLH) in Portland. These meetings included other members of the parish and were held via Zoom during the pandemic. These meetings were held to determine what events the parish would have during the course of the year and how the parish would carry them out. This was especially difficult due to the pandemic as many activities had to be cancelled, postponed or changed in order to comply with CDC safety guidelines. Other activities, such as take out dinners, were added due to pandemic restrictions. These activities are important functions for the parish as they bring the church community closer together and many also help raise funds to cover parish expenses.
