Council: 10020 - No. WINDHAM

Project Description:

An elderly lady reached out to the treasurer of the council and stated her husband had a medical issue which left him unable to walk alone. She was not able to steady him to go outdoors and into the car for doctor appointments, etc. In further looking into the situation, the home did not have a railing by the steps and the second entrance (Required by code enforcement) was unsafe. The three knights of our council purchased the lumber, Quick-crete, etc. from local lumber yard. At the home we were able to put a railing from the door to the base of the steps. The other entrance required the removal of the unsafe steps and replace with new, pressure treated wood and to include a railing for personal stability.
