Pallbearers for Deceased Priest

Project Description:

District Deputy was contacted to arrange for pallbearers for a deceased priest who had served all three churches in our parish. Each of our three councils were requested to provide two Brother Knights dressed appropriately for the task. Our council was quickly able to find two volunteers, who traveled about 20 miles to the funeral mass. The pallbearer contingent was approached by the deceased two sisters, who expressed their deep appreciation for our service. Theresa and Flo were both very engaging … and both excellent huggers! The eulogy and multiple speakers provided new perspective and better appreciation for the deceased many years of priesthood. Our two Brothers stayed for the reception to socialize with other Knights in attendance before returning home
