Parish Bean Supper

Project Description:

The Council and Assembly put on a Parish Bean Supper at the above location and date after the 4 o’clock Mass. We sold 46 pre-sale tickets, and the Parish Priest talked us up so well that we served 120 parishioners, man that was something else. We planned well, Jimmy Lances and his wife made the mix for the Cole slaw, Larry Willey came in and made a rice cheese Mac N Cheese, Pies were donated by Knights, Bean were soaked over night, and cooked all day, homemade buttermilk biscuits were baked, and red hot dogs were cooked on the stove along with onions. Fresh whipped cream was placed on the pies, and there was plenty for all to enjoy. We played music over the overhead loudspeaker system, had round table arrangements, people just stayed and stayed talking and enjoying themselves. The supper raised about $1,000.00 for the Assembly to help them run their programs for the year.

Many accolades where given and everyone seemed to really enjoy the church friendly atmosphere.
