Parish Takeout Dinner

Project Description:

Our council and council 11257 at Our Lady of Hope Parish provided a take out dinner on Feb. 12th at the St. Pius X church hall. The meal included turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, peas, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a cookie for $15. We served 105 dinners and raised $1570. This was a fund raising dinner with the proceeds split between the two councils. Most of the food and take out containers were donated by the St. Vincent DePaul soup kitchen. Remaining costs, approximately $200, were covered by our council. Thirteen Knights plus two spouses helped to deliver and/or purchase the food and containers then prepare, package and hand out the dinners.
