Sixty three council brothers, along with their wives and parishioners participated in this years Parish Lenten Mission Talk at Holy Martyr’s Church, and Sacred Heart Church within our Parish, and from their homes from March 11-13, 2019. We also had two council brothers help as greeters and also with the serving of the breakfast and supper meals. There were two sessions offered each day. One in the morning at Sacred Heart, and one in the evening at Holy Martyr’s. The theme for these mission talks was “KNOWING, LOVING AND SERVING GOD” Fr. Steven Bell, Paulist Missionary Priest, was an exciting speaker and all the parishioners of the Parish of the Holy Eucharist including the Knights of Columbus from our council, enjoyed each session very much. During these sessions we gain insight and information which deepened our relationship with God through faith formation, worship & prayer, and learning how to share your faith walk with others. The evening session which my wife and I went to started at 5:30 PM with Mass, then followed with a Light Supper. At 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Fr. Steven Bell conducted his Mission Talk. In the morning session, the Mass started at 8:15 AM followed by a light breakfast at 8:45 AM. At 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM Fr. Steven Bell conducted his Mission Talk. All present went away from this three day retreat very enriched, with our hearts and minds refreshed with the Good News which Fr. Steven Bell blessed us with. Thanks be to GOD and Fr. Bell.
