Participation in the Westbrook Together Days Event
Council: 2219 - WESTBROOK
Project Description:
Again, as has been for years, the Knights of Columbus, Westbrook, Council 2219, received an invitation from the City
of Westbrook to participate in their annual “Westbrook Together Days Event” in order to allow the Knights to raises
funds that they require to continue their charitable works within the community,ie Food Pantry, Support of the Local
Youth Programs as well as helping those in need. Again this year, due to the popularity of K of C concession stand,
which has a tremendous menu, was given a prime location at the event, where as anyone entering the event
location would have to pass the K of C stand. Not only were we allowed to sell food, we were also allowed to sell
raffle tickets for an on going special benefit to help a 10 year old boy with type 1 diabetes. According to city officials
over 10,000 people attended the event. Upon completion, the council generated almost $2800.00 in profit which
will be used by the council for any upcoming project or functions. See Attached Photos:
