Project Description:

On June 11, 2018 a member of Assembly 356 approached Council 2219 and asked if we could help pass out U.S. Flags
to the general public on Flag Day, June 14, 2018. Related that approval to pass out the Flags at both Dunkin Donut
locations, one on Main St. and the other at the mall off Brighton Ave., Westbrook, ME. Without hesitation 6 Council
members volunteered to help, all of which are veterans. The seventh volunteer was a member of the Assembly from
Council 10221, Gorham, ME. At 7:45am on June 14, 2018 members were divided in two groups and each were
positioned at a specific location and commenced giving out U.S. Flags. Upon completion a total of 500 miniature
Flags were handed out to the general public.
