People with Disabilities Program

Project Description:

Council 2219 performed their annual People with Disabilities (Tootsie Roll Drive) in September at various locations. The event was organized by John Testa who called Knights’ and assigned location coverage and collected funds for deposit. Matt Bellentoni (son of Chuck Bellentoni) helped collect at St. Anthony’s Parish and Donna Testa, counted money, were the 2 non-Knights’ that participated. Noteworthy mention 4 Knights that have never participated in the past helped this year; Alphie Lefevber, Greg Penk, Ed Taylor, and Paul Noonan. The Knights like the visibility it provides in the local community and many of the brothers look at this as a fun event where they see many acquaintances they have not seen in some time.
Other Knights participating were Don Landry, Dennis Plante, Al Rousseau, Bob Usher, Ed Jazdzewski, Marcel Fredette, Ken Randall, Buddy LeClair, Paul Young, Bryan Monahan, Ed Rielly, Joe Mendoza, Kevin Conant, Rene Daniel, Dan DiGenova, Paul Payne, Roger Roy, Chuck Bellentoni, Lou Hannigan, Larry Caron, Chuck Oates, and Jerry Drouin.
A grand total of $2351.00 was collected.
