Procession on Corpus Christi Sunday

Project Description:

On Corpus Christ Sunday, which celebrates the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, our parish and council participated in a public procession from Notre Dame Church to the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament. The procession begins at the conclusion of the 10:30 Mass and follows the cross to the Chapel. Waterville Police stop traffic to allow the procession to cross Silver St. safely. Sir Knights in both the new uniform and the legacy regalia (which was still allowed at that date) preceded the Priest, who carried the Blessed Sacrament. He was followed by the choir, then by those parishioners who wished to attend, including several of our brother Knights. Upon arriving at the Chapel, we were greeted by the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. After a short service of song and adoration, we returned to the church for a reception and light refreshments. This event is always well-attended and very meaningful.
