Project Description:
The Knights of Columbus, Council #136, Rockland, Maine started to participate in the program Project Rose in 2017. This involves presenting a rose to the mother and a rosary to the baby at the baptism ceremony at St. Bernard’s Church. There were four baptisms in the first six months of 2018 that our Council was able to participate in. Three brothers of the council took part in the presentation. The time involved also comprised of purchasing the rose and rosary. There is a short speech given by the brother expressing the Council’s joy that the family has chosen to raise their child in the Catholic Church.
