REcitation of a Decade of the Rosary to our Mother Mary by the youth of our parish

Project Description:

The young Catechism students from grades Pre K to Grade 2 recited a decade of the Rosary before the Mother’s Day Mass on May 13, 2018. This project was spearheaded by Grand Knight Richard Miller who coordinated with the administrator of the CCD program at the church for this to occur. So often, students learn the three prayers, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be and this exercise brought those three separate components together in front of all the parishioners who attended the 8:30 AM Mass. It brought the families into church that morning and what a special morning that was paying homage to our Mother, Mary! It did not take long to recite the decade, but the students walked away with the knowledge that they learned something that morning. The Knights initiative to recite a decade of the rosary will inspire some students to inquire about doing it again, perhaps at home, will lead to a more involved participation by the youth in the church which is what we would like them to do.
