Project Description:

One of our council brothers, and four Veterans participated in this years presentation at our community social in Gray during September, 2020. The presentation this year is our Second Annual presentation of a certificate of appreciation to our Veterans, and two deceased Veterans wives who live in this community. As a Knight of Columbus and a Veteran of the US Army, I have been honored to have been asked to make the certificates, and made the presentations to those Veterans present. We usually do this presentation in November on Veterans Day, but one of our Veterans has been told last week that he has Stage Four Lung Cancer. In face yesterday he was taken to the Hospital with fluid in his lungs for the second time in the last two weeks. So after talking with one of the resident Veterans we thought we would make the presentations today so he and his wife could enjoy it, and share it with their children. A Knight of Columbus has many calls to duty, and this is only one of the many. May the good LORD watch over our Brother Veteran and his Family in their time of need.
