Project Description:

The St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen provides food, clothing and other various sundries to the homeless, unemployed, underemployed, refugees and other needy people in the greater Portland area. Four members of our council worked at the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen in Portland along with dozens of other volunteers to provide services to 200 or so needy clients during 2021. One of our members is the president of the soup kitchen, on the board of directors and a shift supervisor another is vice president, on the board of directors and a shift supervisor as well as acting president during the presidents extended absence early in the year. Another member of our council is also on the board of directors and was a shift supervisor. Our council has also supported the soup kitchen with cash donations during the year.
