Project Description:

I am a member of the Board of Directors for Sexual Assault Crisis and Support Center. This is a volunteer position. The Board helps to guide and oversee the various activities of the Center. The Board is required to meet regularly throughout the year. It also approves minutes of meetings, financial reports and any other activity that requires Board approval.
I also participated in the Center’s biggest fundraiser held annually in September and I attended a retreat that helped review the Center’s mission.
The Center offers strong support and advocacy for the victims of sexual assault, particularly children and their families. The Center additionally provides support for Law Enforcement as cases are investigated.
The hours that I reported are mine as I cannot vouch for the other Knight’s hours. I am very proud that the Center is financially supported by Council #334.
The crime of sexual assault is a devastating issue in our state and I encourage all Councils to participate in supporting the extremely valuable work of these centers throughout our state.
