Special Olympic Summer Games Support

Project Description:

This event is the annual Special Olympic summer games held on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono, Maine. There are hundreds of volunteers and this year I registered to participate and assist where I could. This event brings people of all ages with disabilities of all kinds to a safe venue where they can compete against other like individuals in a comradery of sport. I was stationed at an awards table distributing medals and awards to participants. My participation was satisfactory and rewarding to see the achievements of these individuals and smiles on their success.
