Project Description:

4th Degree Knights Tom Leonard and Peter Glynn and 1st Degree Knight Joe Balchunas assisted the St Joseph Church Food Pantry in making food available to families shopping for their core food needs. On
April 25th, Joe, Tom and Peter assisted by helping to unload and store food delivered by the Good Shepherd Food Bank to the St Joseph Church Food Pantry. Joe and Peter each worked for 1 hour (2 manhours) and Tom worked 3 manhours on April 25th. 4th Degree Knights Peter and Tom and 1st Degree Knight Joe helped display food to families who stopped by to shop on April 26. Peter, Tom and Joe also helped in storing tables, carts and coolers which were used for the distribution. Tom worked 4 manhours and Joe and Peter each worked 3 hours (6 manhours) on the day of shopping, April 26. There were about 8 other parishioners belonging to the Food Pantry which assisted on April 25 and 26.
The St Joseph Church Food Pantry services indigent families living in the communities of Bridgton, Fryeburg, Naples and Harrison. Food was distributed to 27 families. Food items consist of cereals, canned goods, snacks, boxes of pasta, frozen meat, produce, butter and bread.
