Project Description:

Brother Peter Glynn and I assisted 6 other parishioners in setting up and assisting clients in packing food in their cars for the St Joseph Church Food Pantry. Peter worked there for 3 hours, and I worked for 4 hours. The Food Pantry serves indigent clients by providing food such as frozen meats, packaged foods, and fresh vegetables (when available). The clients fill shopping carts and then load the food into their cars. All food is free to the clients. The Food Pantry serves clients on the 4th Tuesday of each month, and clients generally come from Bridgton, Fryeburg, Naples and Harrison. The Food Pantry Leader said that 51 families were served on Tuesday.
