Project Description:

Myself along with 6 other council brothers and two sons participated in the Sunday Mass at the Veterans Hospital in Augusta on May 19, 2019. What a marvelous opportunity and honor it was to attend mass with our disabled vets and their family members, while saying thank you to them for giving of them selves for their country. God bless them all. Patriotism, Fraternity, Unity was at work here with this Knights of Columbus Activity. We thank you Lord for watching over us as we performed this special activity. What a very special effort from one Brother to another. This is the seventh time since our council’s formation that we have provided this service to our Brother in Christ in the Togus Facility. This was once again a very blessed morning for myself and my brothers of this council who took time from their families to join us today. A special thank you to one of our newest council brothers from Sacred Heart who is in the active military who brought his twin sons with him today. One of the Veterans made comment to me about how nice it was to see the two young boys there this morning with their dad, and also thanked us for being part of his day. Giving back to those who have given so much for us and their country.
