Project Description:

Holy Family Council K of C sponsored our Sixth Annual Baby Shower this spring. This event was lead by our Culture of Life couple Bob and Norma Roberge, along with a generous cash donation from the membership. At the two weekend Masses of March 3/4 and March 10/11, baby items and money donations was collected at Holy Family Church. These items were then given to Hope House of Lewiston, a local non-profit organization providing neighborhood support to families, especially to unwed mothers and their children. They provide counseling to prevent abortions by carrying their babies to full term. They help support them by giving clothing, diapers, wipes, blankets, bath supplies and other baby items. They also provide cooked meals, which feed many families in need. Our council have been successful again this year, because of our very generous parishioners, Jesus said, ‘Feed my sheep’.

The volunteers at Hope House were very thankful and appreciative of the gifts we gave bring them. The $1000.00 will be used to buy other supplies such as groceries for their pantry. The gifts and supplies were estimated at over $2,000.00 worth of baby items. All given by the generous people of our parish.

Hope house was a recipient of an Ultra Sound machine from the K of C 6years ago and has been successful with it in the pro life movement
