Take Out Pasta Dinner for Our Lady of Hope Parish, Portland, ME

Project Description:

Our council, with assistance from council 11257 and other members of our parish held a pasta take out dinner at Our Lady of Hope (OLH) Parish on October 24, 2020. The two councils are both associated with OLH parish and helped raise much needed funds by holding this and other take out dinners in 2020. Dinners were prepared and packed at the church hall of St. Pius X with the costs of food and take out containers covered by council 101. There were 85 dinners handed out to people in their cars as they drove up to the church hall. Masks were worn by all volunteers while social distancing was also observed in accordance with CDC guidelines. This fundraiser netted $1275 for the parish which has seen a fall in donations and the cancellation of normal fund raising church activities due to the pandemic. This event went well as did three other take out dinners in 2020 such that other take out dinners are planned for 2021.
