Project Description:

This annual event is premiere for our council. Our council and parish and the community get very involved with making this a big success every year. We served some 750 meals this year and all were very pleased with the outcome. It’s held at MHT hall and the meal is served from 11:00 am to2:00 pm on Thanksgiving Day. We prep about 600#of vegies on Wednesday and carve about 60 cooked turkeys. Volunteers prep for 5 hours or so and volunteers show up at 5:30 am on Thanksgiving to cook and fill the 24 chaffing dishes we have to serve from. Service volunteers show up at 10:00 am along with the delivery people, who assemble to deliver some 400 meals in the community. Funding for this meal is all from donations from individuals and businesses in the community, along with the help of our brother Knights. Mike Bolduc, Chairperson, PGK
