Toll Booth for Special Olympics

Project Description:

Each year members of State Staff are invited to participate in the Beach Olympics for Special Olympics Maine. A member of our council was one of those volunteers. We are given a 2 hour timeframe Starting at 12 noon and ending at 2PM to stand on East Grand and West Grand avenues collecting volunteer tolls. It is a fun and quick two hours where we sport our K of C clothing as a visual show of support from our Order. People passing by are extremely generous as they take the time to stop and donate. Many donations also come from people walking by and making the effort to walk over to us to make the donation all knowing that these donations will be going to support our great Special Olympians. We look forward each to receive the invitation to help serve those in need.
