Project Description:

Three Knights from our Council traveled to the Maine State Capitol to lobby the House of Representatives against Bill LD 820. This bill would allow State taxes to be used to pay for abortions in the State. It would also allow nurses in the State to perform abortions. Unfortunately, the abortion lobby has succeeded in presenting these bills as a political issue whereas we regard it as a moral problem and against Natural Law. Although the House approved the bill on 79 yeas, and 63 nays, our Council is as determined to continue to fight this cancer in our society and continue to contact our elected officials to point out the total lack of logic and common sense approach to abortions in our society.
