Unbound founders witnessed the devastating effects of poverty on families struggling heroically to make better lives for their children. Guided by faith and rooted in Catholic social teaching, the founders envisioned a program that would invite people to partner with families to support, encourage and empower them. (From the Website)

Each month Gardiner Council 1299 donates $30 to Unbound from the proceeds of the weekly beano held each week and other fundraising events. The total yearly donation is $360

The Unbound Program reaches all parts of the globe where poverty exists. No one understands what a family needs to overcome their challenges better than that family. Our sponsorship helps them set personal goals. With social workers’ support, sponsored friends and their families determine how to use their sponsorship funds to achieve those goals. Parent groups work to foster leadership skills, learn new trades and start businesses. Over time, families become agents of change in their local communities. (From the Website)
