Visit to retiring Priests to bid farewell with graditude

Project Description:

Brother Knights John Laplante, Jim Pizzo, Mike Pizzo, Dave Bergson, and Dewayn Marzagalli did a pilgrimage to St. Pius the Tenth Church in Middleton, Connecticut to visit Fr. Don Bosco and Fr. Jim Hammer to send them off to Yonkers, New York for their retirement. Both of these priests were at St. Joseph’s parish for a long time. They were instrumental in assisting council 11257 during their tenure at St. Joseph’s. Trip took 3 1/2 hours and lasted the entire day. We had lunch and a tour of the church and grounds in Middleton, Connecticut. It was a very enlightening day. We were unable to visit Fr. Jim as he was not feeling well from his diabetes.
