Project Description:

Two council brothers and their family members once again this year participated in sorting, bagging and delivering food, clothing and meals to the needy and shut in’s in our Parish Community, during the months of November and December 2018. For the fourth year in a row we have worked hand and hand with other food pantry volunteers to help those in need of food, meals, and clothing during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. For me its’ a blessing and a joy to see the smiles on the faces of those receiving the gifts of food, and clothing during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Its’ also nice to spend a few minutes and chat with the shut in’s. Some of these shut in’s have now family, and we are probably the only family they will see during these holiday’s. As said more than once, “Charity” starts at home. For us it starts at home, and continues out into the community by helping those in need of Food and Clothing. What a gift we have provided to the needy and shut in’s once again this year, thanks in part to all who make donations to all our Food Pantries in our Parish. GOD is truly GOOD.
