Volunteer Work at Maine Veterans Home

Project Description:

Recent contact with the Maine Veterans Home to donate turf for raised bed gardens and to donate a lift for moving patients in and out of vehicles has turned into a continuing relationship. Six Brothers enlisted in volunteer training. They would be vetted and scheduled to assist the patients and staff on a regular basis. So far four Brothers have completed the training and are running a monthly Bingo plus playing cribbage with patients on a rotating basis. Two more Brothers will complete training in February.
