Project Description:
Four Knights were vetted to become volunteers at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough, Maine. Each Knight participated in the required Training which was held in two sessions requiring 5 total hours from each of those Knights. Once approved, the Brothers set up a regular schedule to meet their required two hour per month visitation commitment. Each Brother Knight plays either cribbage or poker with veterans one hour per month, and the group also runs a Bingo game in the Veterans Hall. The Brothers provide the cash prizes for Bingo, which amounts to several dollars each per month. Such a small price to pay towards the tremendous sacrifices these veterans have given!!
