Working With A Brother Vet In Support Of Our Senior Complex. 15791

Council: 15791 - FALMOUTH

Project Description:

Myself and one of our Brother Vets in our complex purchased and built a picnic table at our Senior Complex in Gray, between June 22, and 27, 2018. Just recently the management of our complex was in attendance at our Spring Cookout. Myself and a Brother Veteran approached our complex manager and asked if we could purchase the wood and built a small picnic table for those residents who would like to eat out from time to time. On the 21st of June we received notification that we had permission to build a table. That afternoon we went out and purchased the material for the table. On the 22nd we measured and cut all the boards to their correct length. On June 27th we assembled the picnic table and put a coat of stain on it. Once the complex management decides what color they are going to have the porches painted we will be allowed to use some of their paint and put a coat of paint on it. On the 27th of June we had several of the tenants stop by and chat with us about the table. In fact one of the tenants was nice and donated $20.00 for the cost of the materials. Being a Knight of Columbus made me feel very good knowing that I was part of something nice that all would be able to use in our complex. Thanks to the LORD for making this all come together.
