Watch for QR Code Scams
Advancements in technology that make our lives easier to navigate its daily growth are always welcome. But there are always those that take a perfectly good tool and create some Tom Foolery with it. QR codes are great tools to get us quickly to our internet destinations and now they too have fallen to those that have little else to do but create havoc, and to those that would prey on anyone they can dupe into their schemes.
However, much like email scams, there are ways to detect something is odd before you click or scan. Below is some good information shared by our own US Veteran’s Administration.
